Faraz is a versatile senior professional with over 25 years of experience in leadership across various sectors, including not-for-profits. He possesses expert knowledge of managing financial accounting, corporate finance, management information systems and compliance. He has experience in all the core corporate services functions: finance, human resources, information technology, corporate affairs and legal.

From 2017 until joining Strides Toronto, Faraz was the Chief Finance Officer at Focus Humanitarian Assistance Canada, a not for-profit established to complement the provision of emergency relief, implementation of resettlement programmes, undertaking future-ready initiatives, poverty alleviation and healthcare programs. In this role he was responsible for finance, human resources, legal, information technology and compliance for the charity. Previous roles have included Chief Finance Officer at Difenda Canada (a Canadian cyber security company); Chief Financial Officer and acting Chief Executive Officer at Tasweek Real Estate Development – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (a real estate investment with presence in Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa); Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for Middle East for Aga Khan Development Network (a network of not-for-profits agencies worldwide focussed on health, education, culture, rural development, institution building and promoting economic development) and Chief Internal Auditor and Head of Planning and Budgeting at GlaxoSmithKline, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Faraz is a Chartered Accountant (International PWC), Cost and Management Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor from the USA and has a Management degree from London School of Economics.
