Karen is a collaborative leader with more than 25 years experience in health and social services and has held leadership roles in the provincial and municipal governments, in the hospital sector and in the community-based mental health and substance use and supportive housing sectors. This includes 10+ years as the Executive Director of a multi-agency collaboration delivering virtual mental health and substance use intake, assessment, and navigation services across Toronto. Karen’s experience in child and youth mental health spans transitional age youth services, youth homelessness, and leadership roles as Vice-President and President of the Board of Directors of a child and youth mental health agency. Karen is passionate about quality improvement and health equity and has led numerous initiatives working with front-line staff, clients and regional service systems to achieve better outcomes for clients. As the Director of One Stop Talk / Parlons Maintenant, Karen is excited to bring this experience to advance accessible, responsive, low-barrier services to children, youth and families across Ontario.
