Darinka Pejicshe/her

Vice President, Finance and Administration

Darinka is an experienced and collaborative leader with expertise in finance, corporate services, governance, operations and organizational transformation. She is skilled in financial management, strategic planning, risk management and leading cross-functional teams, and is recognized for her calm, future-focused leadership style and commitment to achieving meaningful results.

Before joining Strides, Darinka held leadership roles at provincial agencies and several Ontario ministries, managing complex financial portfolios, strategic planning initiatives and teams responsible for audit, information technology, privacy and records management. She has overseen accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for organizations of varying sizes, including multi-billion-dollar portfolios, and led financial systems modernization and enterprise risk management initiatives.

Darinka’s governance experience includes serving as National Secretary-Treasurer and Chair of the Finance and Risk Assessment and Audit Committees for the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, and as Vice-Chair of the Audit Committee for Applaud People in Public Service.
Darinka holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Accounting Science, and Registered Corporate Coach® and Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designations. She also teaches accounting at the University of Toronto.
