Growing Healthy Together Pre- and Postnatal Program
The Growing Healthy Together Pre- and Postnatal Program supports families during pregnancy and the early months of a child’s life by offering prenatal, postnatal, parenting, and nutrition information in a welcoming group setting. The program also provides opportunities for participants to connect with others, share experiences, and receive peer support during an important stage of life.
This free and voluntary program is designed for individuals and families who may be new to Canada, living on a low income, feeling isolated, or needing extra support while preparing for the arrival of a baby or adjusting to life with a newborn. Sessions are led by trained staff and are offered in community locations throughout Scarborough to make the program accessible to families in the community.
Growing Healthy Together is made up of two programs that support families at different stages:
- Prenatal Program – for pregnant individuals, with a focus on healthy pregnancy, nutrition, and preparing for parenthood
- Postnatal Program – for parents of children 0–18 months old, with a focus on infant development, parenting, nutrition, and family wellbeing
