Program focus: Nutrition, Parenting, Postnatal

The Growing Healthy Together Postnatal Program offers postnatal, parenting, and nutrition information to parents of children 0-18 months old who may be new to Canada, are living on a low income, or may be feeling alone or overwhelmed. The goal of our program is to encourage and support the health and wellbeing of infants and children (0-18 months old) and their parents and caregivers. This program is free and voluntary. Interpretation and transit assistance are available. Childminding may be offered at some locations.

  • Postnatal Groups
  • Parenting Groups: Trained staff offer a variety of weekly parenting groups such as Infant Massage, Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Group, Building Connections, and Triple P Parenting. Groups are offered at different community locations across Scarborough.
  • Workshops: Trained staff offer a variety of workshops on diverse topics related to parenting, child health and development, nutrition, and community resources. Workshops are offered at different community locations across Scarborough or may be offered online.

Eligibility Details

New parents of children aged 0–18 months old. We are here to support parents who may be:

  • newcomers,
  • living on a low income,
  • feeling isolated, or
  • needing extra support navigating life with a newborn.
