Robert Royer, MHSc, CHEhe/him

Vice President, Strategy

Robert is a strategic and passionate systems leader with a strong record of successful program planning, monitoring and evaluation in various sectors. He is skilled in developing and implementing strategies related to local and provincial planning. Robert is recognized for his strong engagement, facilitation and communication skills and commitment to meeting performance goals and expectations.

Before joining Strides, Robert was the Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives at Kerry’s Place Autism Services. His achievements included leading the development of the organization’s housing strategy, communications plan, as well as its upcoming strategic plan. His varied experiences include being Director of Strategy, Quality Improvement and Corporate Services at Addiction Services Central Ontario (formerly Addiction Services York Region), and a Health System Planning and Sub-region Lead at the Central Local Health Integration Network. Robert also has an extensive research background with 35 peer-reviewed journal co-authorships through his work at the Familial Breast Cancer Research Unit at Women’s College Hospital. He was also a volunteer board member at Durham Children’s Aid Society for six years, including two years as President.

Robert has a Master of Health Science in Health Administration from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto; a Bachelor of Health Administration (Honours) from the Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto Metropolitan University and is a Certified Health Executive (CHE).
